Josh White

Josh White, a four-star linebacker in the 2020 class out of Houston, has transferred from LSU to Baylor.

The 6-foot-1, 225 pounder, who entered the transfer portal March 28, will join former LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda’s squad. White runs well, and that speed is vital in the wide-open Big XII. He recorded six tackles in 10 games this past season.

Corey Wren, a former John Curtis sprinter, has entered the transfer portal after having signed with Florida State in 2020. He will have four seasons of eligibility remaining. Wren’s blazing speed helped make him the 19th rated prospect in Louisiana in ’20.

In 12 contests with the ‘Noles while limited mostly to kick return duties, Wren managed eight returns for 153 yards with a 19.1 yard average.

Pig Cage (5-9, 198) makes his second college exit after one year at LSU. The product of Archbishop Rummel played the 2020 campaign at Nicholls State where he had 30 stops with 11 for losses and 2.5 sacks. He had a season high of nine tackles against Southeastern.

After transferring to LSU for ’21, Cage recorded six tackles against Kansas State in the Texas Bowl to cap his limited action as a walk-on with the Tigers.

Amani Gilmore (6-2, 220), a left-handed quarterback out of Amite, began his college football journey at Kentucky as a 2019 signee. He transferred to North Texas in May 2020 but has once again entered the portal.

While at Amite, Gilmore led the Warriors to a state title, passing for 286 yards and running for 80 more while accounting for six total scores in the title game. He also excelled in baseball as a two-way player and basketball as well.

Takulve Williams (6-0, 211) is transferring from Kansas. The 2017 signee out of St. Augustine has one season of eligibility remaining.

During his time with the Jayhawks, Williams tallied 28 catches for 158 yards and a touchdown before moved from receiver to safety last season. As a senior for the Purple Knights, he averaged 25.8 yards per kick return. In a single game against Brother Martin, he had a 98-yard kick return for one score and a game-winning 90-yard punt return for a touchdown in the final seconds.
