On Saturday, June 2, 2018 TKO Promotions (Dan Civello) is bringing back the Legend of Louisiana Boxing, Les Bonano and Brawlin In Nawlins to the Copeland Towers formerly the Landmark Hotel. The Landmark is known for having World Champions and Top Contenders in the World fight in their Las Vegas atmosphere Ballroom, such as; Evander Holyfield, James “Bonecrusher” Smith, Regis Prograis, Buster Drayton, and Tyrell Biggs (Olympian Gold Medal Champion). This will be a night you won’t want to miss. Who knows, you may see another future World Champion live on June 2nd in the ring.
This card is full of top talent. The main event will feature Jonathan “The King” Guidry, Heavyweight from Dulac, Louisiana with a record of 9 wins 0 losses and 2 draws. Guidry is a hometown hero in Dulac, and when you see him fight, you will know why. He punches hard and he’s tougher than a $2 steak.
Curtis “Hardknocks” Johnson Jr. is a hometown favorite fighting out of Gretna, Louisiana. Johnson has an unblemished professional record of 8 wins and 0 losses, 6 of them coming by way of Knockout. Hardknocks will look to keep his record perfect. Johnson’s amateur career consisted of State, Regional, and National Titles which rose him to the national rankings in his weight class to Number 4 in the Nation.
Rennard “Flash” Oliver from Terrytown, Louisiana has a record of 7 wins, 1 losses, and 2 draws and he continues to awe the crowd with his lighting fast hands and feet. Oliver has fought in 4 different states in his short career which shows that he’s not afraid to fight in someone else’s backyard.
Jeremy Hill from New Orleans, Louisiana in the Super Lightweight Division, will be fighting is his second pro fight after coming off a sensational knockout in the first round in his Pro-debut. Hill is a national amateur champion who is looking to make some noise in his weight class.
SPECIAL ATTRACTION: Devin McGovern, “The Fighting Irishman” Heavyweight from Kenner, Louisiana will be making his Pro Debut. McGovern is the grandson of the Legendary Les Bonano. McGovern has been watching his Grandpa train, manage, and promote boxing his entire life. Now he is ready to showcase his skills in front of his Grandpa, family and fans.
