The Titans have released veteran kicker Cairo Santos, one day after a bad outing in the team’s 14-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Santos, the former Tulane All-American signed prior to the start of the season, went 0-for-4 in Sunday’s loss to Buffalo, missing field goals of 33 (blocked), 36, 50 and 53 yards. In five games this season, Santos made 4-of-9 kicks and all 12 of his extra point attempts.

The 2012 winner of the Lou Groza Award with the Green Wave has kicked for five NFL teams.
