Thibodaux native Carl Johnson to officiate in third career Super Bowl

A Louisiana native with be on the field for Super Bowl LVI no matter what happens in the conference championship games this weekend.

Carl Johnson will be the line judge for his third Super Bowl as part of the officiating crew led by referee Ron Torbert.

Johnson, who attended Thibodaux High and Nicholls State, has worked as an NFL official for 22 seasons. He retired from working for Coca-Cola after 30 years in 2010.

Super Bowl LVI kicks off Sunday, Feb. 13 at 5:30 Central time at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Caliifornia.
