Teurlings Catholic wins Ken Cole Invitational with Shaw finishing second

Defending Division II state champion Teurlings Catholic is the team to beat in its division again in 2022.

That was evident once again Saturday at the 45th annual Ken Cole Invitational at Comeaux High School in Lafayette as the Rebels captured the team title by a wide margin over Archbishop Shaw, its primary competitor in Division II.

Zachary was third with Parkway fourth and Archbishop Rummel fifth.

Teurlings Catholic had three individual winners, including Ashton Sonnier (113), Ethan Boudreaux (132) and Joel Lanclos (220).

Shaw had four champions in Glenn Price (132), Todd Ritter (152) and Zalen Wilson (170) and Jude Monaco (182).

Grayson Pennison of Archbishop Hannan (160) captured a title for the Hawks.

Heavyweight Spencer Lanosga (285) of Jesuit was victorious as well.
