There is not another player in the NFL quite like Taysom Hill. For a unique talent comes a unique contract.
The New Orleans Saints signed Hill to a four-year contract extension worth between $40 and $95 million depending now what positions he plays, according to Adam Schefter.

Saints insider Nick Underhill reports the deal will lower Hill’s future salary cap figure:
Taysom Hill is currently slated to count as $8.9 million against the cap next year after his current deal expires. Have to imagine this new deal will lower that number number.

Schefter described HIll’s deal as a unique hybrid. The $40 million is based on his current role while the $95 million is based on him taking over as the Saints starting quarterback. The BYU product will receive $22.5 million guaranteed.
The 31-year old lost a competition for the starting quarterback job this past preseason with Jameis Winston but Hill also plays other roles on offense as a runner, receiver and blocker, while also seeing time on special teams units during his New Orleans tenure.
