After winning their first three games of the season, St. Scholastica hit rough times, losing its last six games. That streak ended Monday in Metairie.

The Doves took control from the start and went on to a 45-32 victory at Country Day.

St. Scholastica led 13-8 after one quarter and 20-15 at the half. The Doves extended their lead to 33-21 after three quarters.

Senior Claire Schmitt topped the Doves (4-6) with 20 points while junior Katherine Chiasson had nine. For Country Day, sophomore Kaci Chairs led the way with 23 points while Sophia Anderson six points.

The win snapped a six-game losing streak for SSA. The Cajuns fell to 3-3 with the defeat. St. Scholastica will play in the Walker Tournament this weekend. Country Day will have a week off before playing at Chalmette a week from Thursday.
