St. Paul’s wins St. Tammany Parish Wrestling Meet

Perhaps it should be renamed the St. Paul’s Invitational.

The St. Paul’s Wolves won their 20th parish championship and 10th in a row, capturing the St. Tammany Parish Wrestling Meet Saturday at Archbishop Hannan.

The Wolves scored 210 points with Covington coming in second with 159 points. The tournament returned to a multi-entry individual style tournament and was held at Archbishop Hannan.

St. Paul’s won seven of the 14 individual titles. Champions for the Wolves included Carter Duet (106), Connor Oviedo (113), Peyton Ward (120), Brandon Stein (126), Ben Davidson (132), Grant Hughes (152) and Jake Arena (182)

St. Paul’s has won 20 of the 22 parish tournaments contested.
