Area Prep Soccer Report for Tuesday, Dec. 4

St. Paul’s holds on to the top spot in Division I in the latest Louisiana High School Soccer Coaches Association Poll released yesterday.

The Wolves (5-0-1) received nine first-place votes with Jesuit (4-0-2) getting the other and placing second. Denham Springs is third with Catholic of Baton Rouge fourth and Northshore fifth. Brother Martin is eighth.

Defending state champion Holy Cross (1-1) is first in Division II. The Tigers received eight first-place votes. Woodlawn of Baton Rouge (4-1-1) is second with East Jefferson third and Beau Chene fourth. St. Thomas More received the other two first-place votes and is fifth. Lakeshore is seventh with Riverdale eighth.

St. Louis Catholic (4-0-2) is first in Division III and received nine first-place votes with E.D. White Catholic (3-2-1) second. University High received the other first-place vote and is third with Teurlings Catholic fourth and Vandebilt Catholic fifth.

Episcopal of Acadiana (4-0-1) is the unanimous top choice in Division IV with Newman (2-0) second. Northlake Christian is third with St. Thomas Aquinas fourth and Episcopal fifth. Country Day is seventh with Pope John Paul II tenth.
