St. Martin’s Episcopal’s Harlem Berry named GNO QB Club Prep Player of the Week

St. Martin’s Episcopal junior running back Harlem Berry has been selected as the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club, Crescent City Sports, NASH ICON 106.1 FM and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for week three of the prep football season, sponsored by the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

Berry, ranked No. 1 in the nation among running back prospects for the Class of 2025, rushed 16 times for 221 yards and five touchdowns, caught three passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns, had five tackles and forced and recovered a fumble in a 58-28 victory over Riverdale.

Coached by Kevin Dizer, Berry will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Tuesday, December 12 at The Cannery.

“In all my years, I have never coached or seen a better player than Harlem,” Dizer said. “He was brilliant. We do not win the game or games without him.”

The next meeting of the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club is Tuesday, September 19 at noon, featuring New Orleans Pelicans Executive Vice President David Griffin, LSU great and Super Bowl champion Kevin Faulk, Tulane secondary coach and former New Orleans Saint JJ McCleskey, Karr coach Brice Brown and De La Salle coach Graham Jarrott.
