Southland Conference announces October 20 TV selections

Game selections and broadcast times for Oct. 27 football games are set

FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference and its broadcast partners have revealed game selections and start times for football games to be played on Saturday, Oct. 27.

The Southland Game of the Week on ESPN3 will feature Central Arkansas at McNeese in the Red Beans and Rice Bowl. Both teams are nationally ranked, but still have challenges before meeting each other. The Bears are home against Northwestern State this weekend, while the Cowboys visit Incarnate Word.

Southeastern Louisiana at Sam Houston State, 1 p.m. CT, Eleven Sports
Incarnate Word at Nicholls, 3 p.m. CT, Southland Digital Network
Lamar at Stephen F. Austin, 3 p.m. CT, ESPN+
Houston Baptist at Northwestern State, 6 p.m. CT, DemonTV
Central Arkansas at McNeese, 6 p.m. CT, ESPN3

Eleven Sports will present a nationally televised broadcast of Southeastern Louisiana at Sam Houston State. The network is available on DirecTV 623 and various cable providers, plus the matchup will be simulcast on the Southland Digital Network.

ESPN+ will showcase Stephen F. Austin’s homecoming game against Lamar. The Cardinals earned their first conference victory of the season last weekend, plus the number four play on ESPN’s SportsCenter. Lane Taylor blocked a potential game-winning field goal attempt from Incarnate Word, then Caleb Abrom returned it 66 yards for score the other direction as time expired.

The Southland Conference Digital Network will feature UIW at Nicholls, produced by ESPN Radio New Orleans 100.3. It can be viewed on Southland.org/live and Southland Conference apps, available for iPhone, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku.

Houston Baptist at Northwestern State is set for coverage on NSU’s institutional streaming platform, DemonTV.

Broadcast selections for Oct. 20 were announced last Monday.
