Hattiesburg, Miss. – The New Orleans Jesters lost 4-0 to Southern States Soccer Club Saturday night at the Oakes Training Center. The Jesters conceded an early goal inside the first minute and never recovered as they dropped their first points of the season.

Mason Walsh opened the scoring inside the first minute slotting the ball into an empty net after a favorable bounce left him in on goal.

SSSC doubled their advantage on the 17 minute mark with a headed finish from defender Hakeem Reid from a corner kick.

New Orleans had two good chances to pull a goal back right after the break but midfielder Jowayne Laidley headed wide from close range and then minutes later striker Maxi Galizzi drilled a shot to the right of the gol after rounding the last defender.

SSSC added two more goals before the hour, the first a deflected own-goal and then midfielder Jose Murillo saw his strike from distance deflect off a Jesters defender into the goal.

The Jesters next match is at home vs Jacksonville Armada on May 28; kick off is set for 7 PM at Pan American Stadium.
