Southeastern Louisiana Baseball to host Fall Alumni Weekend

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball program will host a Fall Alumni Weekend, Nov. 11-12, head coach Matt Riser announced Monday.

Festivities begin with an evening social, Nov. 11, at Fifth’s Arcade and Bar in downtown Hammond. Doors will open at 8 p.m. with the event lasting until 2 a.m.

A poker tournament, open to the first 60 registrants, will also run from 9 p.m. until midnight. Alumni interested in playing are asked to register and pay their buy-in online at

Kicking off at noon, Nov. 12, is a tailgate party in advance of the evening’s football game against Northwestern State in Strawberry Stadium.

Championship rings will be presented to members of the 2022 baseball team at 2:30 p.m. in a ceremony at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field and, later that evening, the Southland Conference Tournament Champions will also be honored during halftime of the football game.

Separate from the poker registration, alumni interested in attending are asked to RSVP to Director of Baseball Operations Cade Lanoux at to provide a headcount to assist in planning the weekend’s events.

Fans interested in becoming active supporters of the baseball program are encouraged to join the Diamond Club. Lion baseball alums are encouraged to join the exclusive S Club, which is restricted to Southeastern athletic letter winners.
