Southeastern at A&M-Corpus Christi series finale rained out

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Sunday’s Southeastern Louisiana baseball series finale at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has been rained out. The game will not be made up.

Both Southeastern (28-20, 20-15 SLC) and the Islanders (24-27, 20-14 SLC) will be awarded one point in the Southland Conference point system.

A&M-Corpus Christi (62 pts) sits one point ahead of the fourth-place Lions (61 pts). New Orleans (69 pts) and Abilene Christian (65 pts) are the top two teams in the point system being used to determine regular-season champion and tournament seeding.

Southeastern returns to the friendly confines of Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field next week, closing out the regular season with a four-game conference series against HBU. Games are scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Friday and a single game at 2 p.m. Saturday. All remaining home games are slated to be broadcast on ESPN+.

RADIO SHOW
The next episode of Inside Southeastern Baseball with Matt Riser, presented by Blackened Brew, will be broadcast Monday at 12 p.m. from the restaurant in downtown Hammond. Fans can listen to every show on KSLU 90.9 FM, online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via either the Lions Gameday Experience or TuneIn Radio apps. The one-hour show airs every Monday during the baseball season.

REGULAR SEASON TICKET INFORMATION
Baseball single-game tickets are currently on sale for the remainder of the regular season. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to minimize ticket lines on game days. Southeastern students are encouraged to contact the ticket office prior to the game to reserve theirs in advance.

Single-game tickets can be purchased online at www.LionSports.net/Tickets or by contacting the Southeastern Athletics Ticket Office at (985) 549-5466. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays. The ticket booth at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field opens exactly one hour prior to the scheduled first pitch.

MOBILE TICKETING
Southeastern implemented mobile ticketing as the primary method for securing tickets during the 2020-21 school year. Tickets will be available via text message or email in a PDF format for fans to download on their phone or print at home. Tickets can also be downloaded to Apple Wallet.

GAMEDAY PARKING
Gameday parking during the regular season is $5 per day for standard vehicles and $35 (full weekend) for RVs.

Single-day parking during the 2021 Southland Conference Baseball Tournament, presented by GeoSurfaces, is $5 for most vehicles. An All-Tournament parking pass is available for $20 for standard vehicles and $50 for RVs.

SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT TICKET INFORMATION
General Admission booklets, allowing admission to every game of the tournament, are $100 for adults and $50 for youths ages 3-12. Students presenting a valid ID from a current Southland Conference institution, and children under the age of three, will be admitted free of charge.

For each day of the baseball tournament, any remaining tickets will be sold for the morning session (first two games) or afternoon session (last two games). The ballpark will be cleared between sessions and re-entry is not allowed.

Session ticket prices are: $21 (box seats, as available), $17 (chairback seats, as available), $13 (general admission adults) and $9 (general admission youth – ages 3-12).

The double-elimination tournament, scheduled for May 26-29 at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field, will feature the league’s top eight teams and concludes with a winner-take-all championship game May 29 at 6 p.m. CT. The winner of the tournament will receive the Southland’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. All games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
