Each and every season, St. Charles Catholic is a contender in softball. The Lady Comets reached the Division III semifinals a year ago. Ty Monica’s team is that team again in 2018.

St. Charles Catholic improved to 4-0 with an 8-2 victory over Franklinton at LaPlace Monday afternoon.

Kelsey Williams pitched the first five innings to pick up the win for the Comets.

Jade Brady took over on the mound in the sixth inning and got the final six outs, all on strikeouts. Brady had three hits and four RBI to pace the offense.

The Lady Comets have outscored opponents 37-5 in their four victories.

St. Charles Catholic returns to action Wednesday at Fisher at 4 p.m.
