Softball Report: Hahnville stays hot with win over previously unbeaten Sam Houston

At the St. Amant Tournament in Gonzales, Hahnville remained hot with an 8-2 victory over Sam Houston for its seventh consecutive victory. The loss was the first of the season for the Lady Broncos (11-1).

Karly Taranto went the distance to pick up the win for the Lady Tigers while Courtney Ortego led the offensive charge with a home run.

Hahnville lost its first two games of the season to Parkview Baptist and St. Amant before ripping off the seven straight wins, including handing Mount Carmel its only loss of the season.

Jerry Nugent’s Lady Tigers return to action today against Walker at 12:30 at Butch Gore Memorial Park at St. Amant.
