Prep Softball Playoff Report for Monday, April 15

Seven area schools are in action in the regional round while one plays in the quarterfinal round of the LHSAA state softball playoffs Monday.

In Class 2A, No. 11 Fisher travels to No. 6 Loreauville (22-7) at 6 p.m. The Gators (13-4) advanced with a 6-5 win over No. 22 Springfield.

In the Division I quarterfinals, No. 3 Mount Carmel Academy (8-11) renews acquaintances with No. 6 St. Joseph Academy (5-18) at 4 p.m. at the JPRD Complex. Both teams had byes in the regional round.

In the Division II regional round, No. 2 seed Archbishop Hannan (22-6) entertains No. 15 Lusher Charter (10-6) at 5 p.m. at Coquille Park.

In the Division III regional round, No. 13 Pope John Paul II (3-17) plays at No. 4 Riverside Academy (15-8) at 5 p.m.

No. 14 St. Katharine Drexel (3-7) travels to No. 3 Holy Savior Menard (19-10) at 5:30 p.m.
