Soccer: St. Paul’s reaches title match at Tampa Bay Invitational

Area Prep Soccer Report for Saturday, Jan. 4

At the prestigious Tampa Bay Invitational in Florida, St. Paul’s continues to prove it belongs with the best teams in the country once again.

The Wolves advanced to the finals with a 2-1 victory over Naples, FL.

The Wolves won on the penalty kick phase, winning 3-0 in the shootout after each team scored a goal in the second half.

St. Paul’s defeated Lakewood Ranch (FL) 3-1 on Friday.

St. Paul’s (17-0) will play in the championship match tonight at 7 p.m. against Tampa Jesuit High School.
