Soccer: Rummel wins Hannan Christmas Classic Bracket

Don’t look now but Archbishop Rummel is closing in on breaking through to the top tier of Division I soccer.
Rummel won its bracket of the Archbishop Hannan Christmas Classic, shutting out Northshore 5-0.
The Raiders led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Tobo Takpor and broke it open with a huge second half, scoring four goals. C.J. Koppeis scored consecutive goals in the second half while Takpor added a second goal as well. Colin Doyle added the other goal.
With Takpor back from injury, Rummel (12-4-1) been substantially better.
Rummel was seventh while Northshore was ninth in the most recent Division I power ratings.
The Raiders will host Archbishop Shaw next Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. The Panthers (10-5-1) will also return to action next Tuesday, playing at Christ Episcopal at 5 p.m.
