Soccer Report: Cox, Ehret; St. Aug, Jesuit highlight light Monday schedule

It is a light schedule for Monday on the pitch.

In the New Orleans area, there are two boys contests with Helen Cox (1-1) facing rival John Ehret (0-1) at 4 p.m. while St. Augustine travels to John Ryan Stadium to take on Jesuit (0-1) at 7 p.m. The always tough Blue Jays lost their season opener to four-time defending state champion St. Paul’s 2-0 last Tuesday. It is the season opener for the Purple Knights in the District 6-1 contest.

On the girls side, Haynes (1-1) battles East Jefferson (0-1-1) at noon. The Yellow Jackets tied Houma Christian 1-1 last Tuesday in their opener. The Warriors lost their opener to Archbishop Hannan and tied De La Salle.
