Soccer: Pope John Paul girls blank Walker

Pope John Paul II is off to a very good start in girls soccer, thanks to a host of talented young players.
The Lady Jaguars shut out Walker 2-0 Thursday at Slidell.
Youth was served once again for Pope John Paul II as freshman Samantha Perque and Sarah Homburg each scored a goal – on in each half. Senior Ashley Mahoney had an assist.
Pope John Paul II (3-0) remained unbeaten with the win and the Jaguars travel to Fontainebleau Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Walker (0-2) also returns to action Saturday, traveling to Old Metairie to take on Country Day at 11 a.m.
