The LHSAA soccer playoffs began Monday

In girls action, Division I top seed Dominican whipped No. 32 H.L. Bourgeois to advance to the regional round against the winner of No. 17 Hahnville and No. 16 Live Oak, who meet Wednesday.

In Division III, No. 9 Lutcher blanked No. 24 David Thibodaux 5-0. The Bulldogs advance to play at No. 8 North DeSoto Friday at 6 p.m. in regional round action.

In girls action today in Division I, No. 12 Fontainebleau meets No. 21 Acadiana at 6 p.m. at Lakeshore High.

No. 11 Mandeville hosts No. 22 St. Amant at 6 p.m.

In Division II, No. 23 Archbishop Chapelle heads to No. 10 Tioga at 4:30 p.m.

In Division III, No. 19 Pearl River is at No. 14 South Beauregard at 5 p.m.

In Division IV, No. 9 McGehee awaits No. 24 Delta Charter at 4:30 p.m. at Pan American Stadium.

No. 19 Country Day heads to No. 14 Highland Baptist at 5 p.m.

In boys action Monday, No. 18 St. Thomas Aquinas went on the road and upset No. 15 Dunham 1-0. The Falcons advance to the regional round to play at No. 2 Episcopal of Acadiana.

In boys action in Division I, No. 32 John Ehret faces a very difficult task at top seed and defending Division I state champion Catholic of Baton Rouge at 6 p.m.

No. 2 Jesuit will host No. 31 Slidell at Tad Gormley Stadium at 7 p.m.

No. 7 Brother Martin will host No. 26 Walker at 7 p.m. at Pan American Stadium.

At 3:30 p.m., No. 8 Archbishop Rummel hosts No. 25 Zachary at 3:30 p.m.

No. 14 Northshore hosts No. 19 West Monroe at 5:30 p.m.

In Division II, No. 16 Belle Chasse plays host to No. 17 Woodlawn of Baton Rouge at 6 p.m.

In Division III, No. 10 Archbishop Hannan hosts No. 23 Erath at 5 p.m.

No. 18 Kenner Discovery will battle No. 15 New Orleans Military & Maritime at 6:30 p.m. at Behrman Stadium.

No. 24 Lutcher travels to No. 9 Leesville at 5:30 p.m.

In Division IV, No. 9 Morris Jeff Community squares off with No. 24 Evangel Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. at Tad Gormley Stadium.

No. 10 Newman entertains No. 23 Glenmora at 5 p.m.

No. 16 St. Charles Catholic will host No. 17 Lafayette Christian at 5 p.m.

No. 19 Covenant Christian heads to No. 14 Country Day at 5 p.m.
