Soccer: Newman blanks Destrehan

Newman remained unbeaten in boys soccer with a 2-0 victory over Destrehan Tuesday evening at Lupin Field.

Chris Brupbacher scored a goal in the first half and the Greenies added an insurance goal in the second half to down Destrehan 2-0.

The Greenies will host Holy Cross next Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Wildcats (0-2-1) return to action a week from Thursday at home against New Iberia at 6 p.m.
