Soccer: Lusher boys, DLS girls win big Monday

Area Prep Soccer Report for Tuesday, Dec. 11

Lusher handled St. Charles Catholic 7-1 at Reserve.

Junior Connor Doremus led the way with a pair of goals while sophomore Alex Blanche had a goal and two assists. Gilgamesh Homan, Tate Pottle, Anthony Menjivar and James rose each added a goal for the Lions (5-1-1). Lusher returns to action tonight at home, hosting Country Day at 7 p.m. while the Comets (1-5) will play at Morgan City this evening at 6:45 p.m.

In girls action, De La Salle blanked Helen Cox 7-0 at LaSalle Park.

Alex Murphy led the way for the Cavaliers (3-0) with a hat trick while Gina Ditcharo had a pair of goals. Kylie Curry and Katherine Soliz each had a goal for De La Salle.

The Cavaliers return to action Thursday at 4 p.m. against East Jefferson at Joe Yenni Stadium while the Cougars (0-4) will play Wednesday at St. Martin’s Episcopal at 5 p.m.
