Soccer: Chalmette boys, Chapelle girls take wins Tuesday
Area Prep Soccer Report for Wednesday, Jan. 18
In boys action on the pitch Tuesday, Chalmette edged Salmen 2-1.
Julian Badillo and Jacob Johnson each scored a goal for Chalmette.
The Owls (6-6-3) return to action Thursday at 4 p.m. against Bonnabel in a District 8-I contest. The Spartans (2-7) will host McMain Thursday at 6 p.m.
In girls action, Archbishop Chapelle put in a goal in the first half and went on to edge Belle Chasse 1-0 Tuesday in a District 7-II contest.
Senior Ava Boudreaux scored the winning goal.
Chapelle (9-5-2, 4-0) returns to district play Friday against Helen Cox. The Cardinals (5-4-4) return to district play Thursday at 4:30 p.m. against Riverdale.
