Soccer: Brother Martin blanks Northshore, Holy Cross overcomes Lusher Charter

Prep Soccer Report for Tuesday, Nov. 19

Brother Martin remained unbeaten on its season Monday evening with a solid 2-0 victory over Northshore at Pan American Stadium.

The star was Evan Starring, who scored both goals for the Crusaders, both of which came in the second half.

Brother Martin (3-0) has shutout all three opponents, including defending Division II state champion Holy Cross and Ben Franklin.

The Crusaders return to action Saturday morning at home at Farley Field at 11:30 a.m. against Catholic High of Baton Rouge while the Panthers (0-1) return to action Friday at home against Archbishop Hannan at 7 p.m.

Holy Cross downed Lusher Charter 4-2.

The Tigers overcame deficits of 1-0 and 2-1 for the victory.

Camden Carroll led the way, scoring a pair of goals for Holy Cross (1-1). The Tigers return to action Wednesday at 3:30 at Joe Zimmerman Stadium against Archbishop Shaw while Lusher (0-1) plays at Riverdale Thursday at 7 p.m.
