Soccer: Belle Chasse blanks Shaw

Area Prep Soccer Report for Friday, Jan. 13

Belle Chasse blanked Archbishop Shaw in Thursday action, 8-0.

The Cardinals scored three goals in the first half and put it away with five second half goals.

Freshman Jared Munguia and junior Elvin Linares were the stars. Manguia recorded a hat trick and added two assists while Linares had a hat trick and an assist. Junior Brennan Chestnut and junior Max Durel each added a goal.

Belle Chasse (10-5-2) will host Grace King Monday at 6 p.m. while the Eagles (4-9-2) will host East Jefferson Monday.
