Soccer: Archbishop Hannan blanks E.D. White Catholic

Area Prep Soccer Report for Sunday, Jan. 12

On a day where several matches were postponed or canceled due to bad weather, a few matches did take place.

Archbishop Hannan took its act on the road and it traveled well Saturday.

The Hawks blanked E.D. White Catholic 3-0 in Thibodaux.

Hannan jumped out to a 2-0 lead by halftime and added an insurance goal in the second half.

It was the Emily Barre show for the Hawks.

Barre scored all three goals for Archbishop Hannan in a dominant performance.

The Hawks were third in the latest LHSAA Division III power rankings released this past week while E.D. White was 12th.

Hannan (10-3-1) will travel to very talented Christ Episcopal (10-2) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. while the Cardinals (5-11-2) travel to New Orleans to take on Lusher Charter Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Brees Family Field. Christ Episcopal is fourth in the LHSAA Division IV power rankings.
