HAMMOND, La. – Jordan Burdett will continue her athletic and academic endeavors as a member of the Southeastern Louisiana women’s tennis program beginning in the 2021-22 season, SLU head coach Jason Hayes announced on Thursday.

Burdett, who hails from nearby Ponchatoula, Louisiana, will join the Lions next fall as a true freshman. Burdett plays for the Stone Creek Tennis Academy.

“We’re excited to have Jordan join our program,” Hayes commented. “Jordan is a local talent with a lot of athletic ability that we can build on. Jordan’s aggressiveness in her game stood out to us and fits the style we want to play with moving forward.”

Burdett’s future teammates will open the spring 2021 season at Tulane on Jan. 24.
