Slidell’s Tito Simmons named GNOSF QB Club Prep Player of Week
Slidell running back/wide receiver Tito Simmons has been selected as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, CrescentCitySports.com and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for Week six of the prep football season.
A junior, Simmons rushed 15 times for 162 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 102 yards as Slidell defeated Ponchatoula 28-14. Simmons is coached by Larry Favre.
Simmons will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club on Dec. 12 at Rock ‘n’ Bowl, 3016 South Carrollton Avenue in New Orleans.
The Quarterback Club meets each Tuesday at Rock ‘n’ Bowl with speakers on the New Orleans Saints, LSU, Tulane and prep football, along with wild card speakers from the world of sports.
The luncheons are open to the public with lunch served. The cost is $25 for non-members and $20 for members. Annual membership is $50.
