Sharan Turner brings home GCAC Player of the Week for Lady Bleu Devils

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Dillard’s Sharan Turner has been voted as the GCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her performance in the Talladega Bubble.

Turner is the first Dillard woman to receive the honor this campaign as she led the team in scoring during all three matchups, averaging the second-highest points per game average in the bubble with 18.3 a night.

The Gonzales, Louisiana native averaged 5.3 boards per contest with a 0.467 field goal percentage while also contributing two blocks, two steals and two assists during the three games.

Overall, she tops DU with nine blocks while posting the second-best points per game (11.9) and rebounds per game (4.4) among her Lady Bleu Devils peers.
