Season-high 14 hits help Baby Cakes past Sounds

Nashville – Magneuris Sierra pounded out four hits and the New Orleans Baby Cakes get a season high 14 hits in an 8-6 road win over the Nashville Sounds.

New Orleans (9-13) lead the season series over Nashville (11-11) 6-3 as the teams will meet again on Sunday.

The ‘Cakes scored in each of the first three innings and Zac Gallen pitched five innings to earn the win. Frankie Montas took the loss for the Sounds. Cito Culver picked up a couple of hits and drove home two runs.

UPCOMING: Nashville will host New Orleans Sunday at 1:05pm in game four of the five game series. Sandy Alcantara will get the start for the ‘Cakes.
