Sean Payton to begin role on NFL Competition Committee this week

Payton and Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin are the two head coaches serving on the eight-member committee, according to NFL vice president Troy Vincent.

According to another Twitter post by Vincent, the points of emphasis for the committee this week will be “reviewing sportsmanship, catch/no catch, targeting, QB protection, sportsmanship (and) football data (and) analytics.”
The competition committee convenes again after the NFL Scouting Combine and then makes recommendations on rule changes at the league owners’ meetings in the spring.
