Will Clark

The San Francisco Giants will officially retire Will Clark’s No. 22 jersey on July 30 at Oracle Park, Clark announced on KNBR radio in San Francisco on Wednesday morning.

The Jesuit High alum spent the first eight seasons of his career with San Francisco where he made five All-Star teams and finished top five in the National League MVP voting four times. Will “The Thrill” led the NL in RBI (1988) and slugging percentage (1991). He won NLCS MVP for his performance against the Chicago Cubs.

Only Clark and Barry Barry have not been inducted in Cooperstown out of the 11 Giants honored with jersey retirement.
