Samford catcher Tyler McManus transfers to LSU
Former Slidell and Delgado catcher Tyler McManus has committed to transfer to LSU from Samford.

Last season, McManus batted .346 with 11 home runs and 53 RBI for the Bulldogs, leading Samford in batting average.
In 2020, McManus hit .440 with four home runs and 11 RBI in the abbreviated season.
McManus will have one season of eligibility remaining at LSU.
At Delgado in 2019, McManus hit .269 with nine home runs and 35 RBI.
In 2018, McManus batted .315 with six home runs and 40 RBI for the Dolphins.
At Slidell, McManus had a career average of .319 with 25 doubles, eight home runs and 70 RBI.
McManus will solidify the catching spot for the Tigers and clearly figures in the mix to start for new coach Jay Johnson in 2022.
