Salmen senior bowling standout Sara Howell was recognized this week as the United States Bowling Congress’ female youth ambassador of the year.
Howell, who signed a national letter of intent last fall to attend Louisiana Tech, spoke as part of the group’s national convention in Reno, Nevada.
Howell’s stepfather and coach at Salmen, Chris Floyd, also was honored this week as the David Dahms Coach of the Year.
Both awards are determined by the International Bowling Congress Youth Committee.
