Salmen handles St. Aug on lanes
A pair of teams seeking their first wins squared off at AMF All-Star Lanes in Kenner Monday and Salmen took care of business, handling St. Augustine 23-4 in prep bowling league action.
The Spartans (1-5) took game one 8-0 as Justyn Gable shot his first 200 game ever, a 219 game, while Sara Howell had a 200 game.
Howell fired a 204 in game two as the Spartans won 7-1. DeVair McLaughlin added a 194 game for Salmen. Rion Sam was high for the Purple Knights (0-5) with a 152 game.
Salmen finished off the win with a 5.5-2.5 win in game three as Howell had a 204 game to round out a 608 series. McLaughlin had a 182 game. Jermaine Lewis shot 141 for St. Augustine.
