Saints waive CB Keith Washington and LB Quentin Poling, re-sign CB Lawrence Woods

On the eve of their first preseason game, the New Orleans Saints made several roster moves.

The team waived cornerback Keith Washington II after reaching an injury settlement.

Linebacker Quentin Poling was also waived with an injury designation and undrafted rookie cornerback Lawrence Woods was re-signed.

Washington, the West Virginia product who spent the 2020 season on the Saints’ practice squad, suffered a wrist injury and ended up on injured reserve August 4.
