Saints to scrap Dixie Brewery war room plans as NFL sets remote drafting parameters
Even the best laid plans aren’t always a sure thing to work out.
The New Orleans Saints announced last week they would have their NFL Draft war room inside Gayle Benson-owned Dixie Brewery in late April. It appeared to be a strong solution to the limitations of social distancing caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has told teams all drafting must be held remotely with no central physical location for executives and staff except through digital conferencing.
The 2020 NFL Draft will be held as scheduled April 23-25.
