Saints sign free agent wide receiver Bennie Fowler

The New Orleans Saints announced the signing of veteran wide receiver Bennie Fowler to a one-year contract.

The six-year veteran has 95 career receptions for 1,090 yards and six touchdowns.

The past two seasons with the Giants, the 29-year old tallied 39 receptions for 392 yards and a touchdown in 18 games. Before that, he played for the Broncos after making the team as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Fowler, 6-foot-1, 214 pounds, won Super Bowl 50 with Denver.

Saints free agent pickup Emmanuel Sanders played with Fowler as Bronco teammates for four seasons (2014-15).
