Saints running back Mark Ingram suspended four games for violating NFL drug policy
Saints running back Mark Ingram has been suspended for the first four games of the 2018 NFL season for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.
Although Ingram can participate in offseason activities, training camp and preseason games, the 28-year old will not be eligible to practice or play in the regular season until Week 5 when New Orleans hosts the Washington Redskins. The four-game ban is the standard suspension for a first-time PED offense.
Adding to the potential drama, it is reported that Ingram has not been participating in the Saints offseason program because he wants a new contract.
Mark Ingram's 4 game PED suspension is going to cost him $1,270,588 between the Saints recouping signing bonus & roster bonus money as well as the 4 games of base salary he won't make.

Ingram led the Saints with 230 carries for 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. He added 58 catches for 416 yards in earning his second Pro Bowl appearance.
