Saints re-signing defensive back PJ Williams, bring back Texans DT Jaleel Johnson

The New Orleans Saints are re-signing cornerback P.J. Williams and bring back defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson.

The versatile Williams started five games last season, finishing with 42 tackles, three interceptions, two sacks and one forced fumble. The 2015 third-round pick has eight interceptions and 233 tackles in 78 career games as a cornerback, nickel and safety.

Johnson signed with the Saints last offeason but the 27-year old was picked up by the Texans off of the New Orlean practice squad. He played 12 games for Houston last season after spending his first four seasons in Minnesota. He has 110 tackles, 10 quarterback hits and 5.5 sacks in 65 career games.

Both players are signing one-year deals.
