The New Orleans Saints have filled the open spot left by the trade of Stephone Anthony by bringing back defensive lineman Darryl Tapp, a league source told The Advocate on Wednesday. New Orleans also promoted defensive tackle David Parry from the practice squad

The versatile 33-year old Tapp will add immediate depth to the defensive line which will miss Mitchell Loewen, the defensive tackle placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

Tapp spent the 2016 season with New Orleans but did not make the final cut coming out of training camp this year.

Parry, a 25-year old who joined the Saints’ practice squad after the Colts waived him in September, was a 2015 fifth round pick out of Stanford by Indianapolis.
