Saints QB Jameis Winston being evaluated for foot injury

Jameis Winston left New Orleans Saints practice early Monday after “tweaking his foot,” head coach Dennis Allen told reporters.
Allen added the starting quarterback was still being evaluated and had no update on the severity of the injury.
Winston is attempting to return from knee surgery after suffering injuries that ended his 2021 season in week seven.
The Saints started practice Monday outdoors before moving inside to their indooor practice facility due to inclement weather.
New Orleans is also reportedly signing former USFL defensive end T.J. Carter.
Saints are in process of signing former @USFLPanthers defensive end T.J. Carter, per a league source, following workout that included him and defensive lineman Ethan Westbrooks.

The Saints continue training camp practice in shells Tuesday a 9 a.m. in a session closed to the public.
