Another undrafted free agent surprise from last season has received bad news Tuesday.

Saints wide receiver Keith Kirkwood has been placed on the injured reserve, according to the NFL transactions list.

Kirkwood suffered a hamstring injury during warmups before Sunday’s game versus the Rams. The Temple product had 13 catches for 209 yards with two touchdowns in eight games in 2018.

Earlier in the day, the Saints released defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth, another UDFA who made the team and contributed last season.

One corresponding roster move is the addition of rookie defensive end Carl Granderson to the active roster. The undrafted former Wyoming Cowboys standout had a roster exemption for the the past two weeks after he was released from jail. He was sentenced on July 11 to serve a six-month jail term as a result of a sexual battery case, spending 43 days in jail before his release.
