Saints cornerback Delvin Breaux was placed on injured reserve Monday with a broken fibula. The open spot on the 53-man roster was filled by the re-signing of veteran reserve offensive tackle Bryce Harris.

the move comes as no surprise since Breaux is expected to be one of the two players the Saints are allowed to designate for return from IR during the regular season. The New Orleans native will miss the first seven games before he is eligible to return to the roster the week of the Nov. 5 game against the Buccaneers.

Harris will likely serve as the backup for both tackle spots at least until starting left tackle Terron Armstead is healthy enough to return to the lineup.

New Orleans also signed former Colts defensive tackle David Parry to fill out their practice squad.
