Saints place 6 players on AP All-Pro teams

Six New Orleans Saints players have been voted to the Associated Press 2019 NFL All-Pro team, it was announced Friday.

A national panel of 50 media members voted four Saints to the first team and two to the second team.

Wide receiver Michael Thomas, right tackle Ryan Ramczyk, linebacker Demario Davis and rookie punt returner Deonte Harris were named to the first-team while defensive end Cameron Jordan and special teams coverage specialist J.T. Gray were named to the second-team.

Thomas, who set the NFL’s single-season record for receptions, was a unanimous selection.

Thomas, Jordan and Harris previously were named to the Pro Bowl. Two other New Orleans Pro Bowl selections, offensive tackle, Terron Armstead and cornerback Marshon Lattimore, received AP votes but not enough to make one of the two teams.

Three former LSU defensive backs – Tre’Davious White, Jamal Adams and Tyrann Mathieu – were voted to the first team defense. Mathieu, the St. Augustine product, received enough votes to be named a first team defensive back and second team safety in his first season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
