Saints fans will get a ‘kick’ out of this news.

New Orleans place kicker Wil Lutz has been fully cleared to resume his kicking duties.

After missing the 2021 season due to injuryand resulting surgery, Lutz shared the following update in an Instagram post:

Lutz bowed out of training camp early last year due to a core muscle injury that eventually needed to be repaied with surgery. He faced a setback that meant he could not return to play in 2021.

One of the league’s best kickers in his time with the Saints, Lutz left a void while out of action. New Orleans used several kickers last season with inconsistent results at best.
