The Saints are replacing one former starting offensive lineman on their coachign staff with another.

Long-time offensive guard Jahri Evans is expected to serve as the assistant offensive line coach. Luke Johnson of the Times Picayune first reported the news.

The Saints and Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame inductee fills the void left by Zach Strief who departed for a job with Sean Payton and the Broncos this offseason.

Evans, a four-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler, worked as an intern with the Saints during last season’s training camp. He will work with offensive line coach Doug Marrone this season.
