The big news from Saints camp was that Drew Brees was designated to return from injured reserve, and he was at practice Wednesday. Might that mean that he could play Sunday against the Super Bowl champion Chiefs? Brees does remain on the reserve/injured list.

Six players did not practice due to injuries.

They included Malcom Brown (shoulder), Nick Easton (concussion), Deonte Harris (neck) Tommylee Lewis (illness), Malcolm Roach (illness) and Michael Thomas (ankle). Those limited at practice were Marcus Davenport, Andrus Peat and Ryan Ramczyk.

Kansas City had three players miss practice, including tackles Mike Remmers and Eric Fisher, along with linebacker Damien Wilson.
